Why Job Boards Fail Builders
Traditional job boards match on keywords. You put "React" on your resume and get matched with every company that has "React" in their job description. The signal-to-noise ratio is terrible.
The problem is that keywords don't capture context. There's a difference between someone who used React for a weekend project three years ago and someone who's been shipping production React apps for five years and just launched a side product with 2,000 users.
How The Signal Works
The Signal analyzes your Project Cards — the actual things you've built — not the labels you apply to yourself. It looks at:
- What you've shipped: The real products, demos, and repos linked from your Project Cards
- Who vouched for you: The specific collaborators who validated your work
- Your activity patterns: The opportunities you're viewing, the spaces you're joining, the signals you're engaging with
- Timing: What you're building right now, not what you built in 2022
The Daily Match
Every day, The Signal delivers one hyper-personalized match. Not 50 generic job listings — one specific opportunity with an explanation of why it's a match.
"A founder in Austin is looking for a marketer with direct experience launching SaaS products to SMBs. Your CreatorOS project card, combined with three vouches from startup founders, is a 94% match."
That's the goal: AI-powered serendipity. The right collision of talent and need, surfaced before either party would have found each other on their own.
What We're Still Building
The Signal will get smarter as the network grows. More Project Cards mean better training data. More successful matches mean better calibration. We're early, but the direction is clear.
